At Eastgate Dental Surgery we are committed to delivering optimum standards of dental care for patients of all ages. That is why we provide a full range of general dental treatments, from routine examinations to root canal therapy. Routine check-ups are the key to maintaining good oral health and we advise all our patients to attend examinations every 6 to 12 months according to NICE guidelines. We will examine your mouth and check for early warning signs and symptoms and with regular visits we can make sure we can catch any problems before they occur.

Dental implants have taken the world by storm and are regarded as the most advantageous solution to missing teeth. Implants are recommended in cases where a patient has lost teeth as a result of trauma or injury, decay or the aging process. Missing teeth have a huge impact on a patient's confidence as they feel like they can’t smile, cover their mouth often and often have troubles eating certain foods. The plan also includes worldwide supplementary insurance for dental emergencies or dental injuries at home or abroad.

Membership Plans:

Children's Plans

- Ages 0-5: Free of charge.

- Ages 6-12: £6.15 per month (Includes two exams and preventative fluoride treatments per year).

- Ages 13-18: £11.15 per month (Includes two exams and one annual hygiene visit).

Adult Plans

- Maintenance: £11.26 per month (Includes one exam and one hygiene visit per year, plus a 5% discount on additional treatments).

- Full Care: £21 per month (Includes two exams and two hygiene visits per year, plus a 5% discount on additional treatments).

What happens next?

To continue your care with us, you have two options:

1. Eastgate Dental Maintenance Plan: Spread the cost of routine care via a monthly direct debit.

2. Independent "Pay-as-you-go": Book appointments as needed and pay standard private fees at the time of your visit.

NHS

Thank you for your patience while we awaited further clarity from the NHS regarding their upcoming changes. We will be sending out a formal communication to all patients shortly, but here is a short update now.

The dental landscape in Wales has changed significantly. Under these changes, we are transitioning to a model that allows our dentists and hygiene team to provide longer appointments, utilize premium materials, and focus on preventative care. Therefore, we will only be able to see patients on a private basis.

Your Ongoing Care

Your dental health remains our priority. You will remain a registered patient with Eastgate Dental; however, we will no longer offer treatment under NHS terms. To ensure you maintain coverage, we have introduced the Eastgate Dental Maintenance Plan.
